Arsenal fuel their chase of the Women's Super League title
Arsenal came from behind to beat Aston Villa at Villa Park on Thursday, March 6, 2024, thanks to a dominant performance from Swedish striker Stina Blackstenius.
Blackstenius' hat-trick in the first half
Blackstenius opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a clinical finish. She doubled Arsenal's lead in the 25th minute with a powerful header and completed her hat-trick in the 35th minute with a close-range effort.
The Gunners extended their lead in the second half, with Katie McCabe scoring in the 60th minute.
The victory sees Arsenal book their place in the Women's League Cup final, where they will face Chelsea or Manchester United.
